* Looking for lunch in all the wrong places (Downtown Denver)
Hungry foodie seeks phenomenal meal to spend my lunch break with. Tired of dry chicken breast and sweet potato brought from home, so over leftovers, unsatisfied by salads – I need a lunch that balances hearty proteins, bountiful veggies, filling starches and sexy sauces, all while blowing my mind with out-of-this-world flavor. Mayonnaise-y sauces, fast food joints and meals over $15 need not apply.

To the lady who needs a good lunch – I hope you're still looking. It looks like you're in Denver too; I happen to be on Larimer Square, right where TAG Raw Bar used to be. You've probably had a bunch of lame, douchy lunch dishes message you already, but I'm nothing like them. I don't like to play games, so I'll tell you straight out, I'm the Chinese bowl. (Hope you're not a stalker lol!) I've got bean sprouts, snap peas, pickled red chiles, broccoli, chia seeds and Chinese dressing. I hold about 2-3 cups of food, so you definitely won't be hungry when you're done with me. But still, I'm healthy, light and full of fiber and protein. I'm at my best on top of a bed of rice noodles, but I can do white rice too – whatever you like. Try me with raw sushi grade salmon, if that's what you're into.
Hope to hear from you!
So, I've never posted anything like this before and it's a little embarrassing... I've just decided I'm done with Taco Bell. I've tried and tried for years, I go there at least three times a week, I always think it's going to get better, but I have to face facts. I'm always going to get (best case) stomach cramps or (worst case) diarrhea. Taco Bell was fun in college, but I don't see us going anywhere long term. I need a spicy, latin-inspired lunch that'll get my mind off limp burritos and bland beans once and for all.

First off, you sound like a catch; taco bell is nowhere close to good enough to a refined palate such as yours. If you took a chance on me, I could show you what good food is. How do black beans, cherry tomatoes, charred corn, jicama, pumpkin seeds and zesty Mexican dressing sound? And... I think I'm right around the corner from you... truth is I'm kind of a homebody, always at this place in Larimer Square – Bubu. (It's one of Chef Troy Guard's newest creations.) I promise you I'm not flirting when I say you won't find a bowl like me anywhere else. I'm a simple lunch dish, I taste pretty awesome with shrimp or chicken, but that's completely up to you, girl. You can have any protein that strikes your fancy. And with a healthy serving of brown rice, you'll never have to worry about bad bowel movements again.
